CEC of AIBSNLEA Assam Circle Branch : CEC of AIBSNLEA Assam Circle Branch was held on 07.05.2011 at Silchar in a very colour full manner. Apart from the CEC memebrs of the Association, Com Prahlad Rai, GS, AIBSNLEA attended the CEC along with Com Amit Gupta, O S (East), AIBSNLEA Chq. Members took active part in interactions at CEC on developmental issues. Com Prahlad Rai,GS addressed the gathering and elaborated various issues of members and BSNL.
In the evening, Open Session was organised at "Ellora Heritage" which was jam packed with members of AIBSNLEA , excutives and non-executives of other sister organisations. Open Session was addressed by Com Pralhad Rai (GS), Com Amit Gupta (OS, East), Shri Sree Ram (GMTD, SC) and Shri N N Bannerjiee (CGMT, Assam Circle). Burning issues were highlighted in the Session. Com K K Das, (Circle Secy) delivered Key Not Address. Com S K Chkaraborty (Circle President) chaired the meeting. Open session included a mind blowing cultural function. Print and Audio-Visual media well covered the entire event.

ENHANCEMENT OF SUBSCRIPTION: As per decision of representative council of 3rd AIC held at Kolkata, Subscription (Union Fee) enhanced to Rs. 50/- from Rs. 30/- per member per month with effect from the month of January 2011. Out of Rs. 50/-, Rs. 10/- for AIC fee, Rs. 20/- for Chq quota, Rs. 10/- for Circle quota and Rs. 10/- for Branch quota. *JAC of Assam, NE-I and NE-II Circle BSNL employees organised a National Level Convention at Guwahati on 03.08.2010. Com Prahlad Rai, Com G L Jogi, Com P Abhimanyu, Com Satanjib Das (JCTU, Assam) and Prof. Deven Dutta (Social Activist) gave speech on the occassion covering various issues related to BSNL. The Convention was organised to grow awareness among BSNL employees and to apprise the public the wrong policies of the Govt. affecting BSNL.
*Com P Rai elaborated the issues like payment of 3G and BWA spectrum charges, withdrawal of ADC, payment of corporate taxes, Licence fees and USO Charges. Other National level leaders also highlighted burning issues of BSNL.
*The venue of the Convention was jam packed and digital displays were also arranged out side venue for those who could not be accommodated inside the Convention Hall.

*3rd Circle Conference was inaugurated at 10-00 hrs of 7.5.2010. A Colourful Open session was organized from 15-00 hrs to 21-00 hrs of 7.5.2010. Open Session was opened with a Cultural Show comprising of a number of events appreciated by the house. Key Note Address was given by Com K K Das,C/S, highlighting various HR as well as developmental issues. General Secretary Com. Prahlad Rai Presented a systematic and elaborative picture on the various issues related to the Members as well as BSNL. Com. G S hardly left any issues untouched. Other Speakers from Staff side were Com AGS D K Sharma, AGS (H/Q), Com A K Basu Org. Secy (East), Com A K Gupta CS (CTD) and many other Circle level leaders of AIBSNLEA & Sister Unions / Associations.

AIBSNLEA Assam Circle Branch held its CEC meeting on 27.12.2009 at Dibrugarh. The meeting was attended by Circle Executives of Assam Circle Branch of the AIBSNLEA. Elaborate discussions were made on several issues like HR matters, Poor Marketing scenario of Assam Circle(BSNL), Growth of BSNL,Hurdles in maintaining smooth Telecom SerVices, ITS absorption issues etc. Lively deliberations were given by several Executives who attended the meeting.

AIBSNLEA Assam Circle Branch held meeting with CGMT Assam Circle on 24.11.2009 and the items discussed were- *-HR issues of Civil Wing *-IDA up-gradation from E4 to E5 *-1st ACP case who have completed 12 years before 01.12.2004 *-Permission for scrapping of Civil Stores Vehicle *-Service Broadband/Landline connection to the O/o the JTO Civil *-Posting of Regular EE (Civil) at Silchar & Tezpur *-Sanction of Vehicle to each Civil Sub-Division *-Posting of TOA to each Civil Sub-Division *-Problem of RTTC Guwahati in purchasing Office stationery *-Vehicle for RTTC Guwahati *-Concern over the incident that took place on 5.11.2009
The meeting ended with a promise of co-operation & dedication to hard work.

*AIBSNLEA Assam Circle Branch would hold Circle Executive Committee Meeting on 27.12.2009 at Dibrugarh. On this occassion all branches are requested to collect donation @Rs. 100/- per member out of whcih Rs. 50/- would go to Circle fund and rest would remain in the Branch.

*Div Conference of Jorhat Branch was held on 26.10.2009. Com T K Dutta has been re-elected as Branch Secy. Circle Secy. Com K K Das addressed the meeting. Com CS Spoke on developmental and HR issues of BSNL. Circle VP Com S R Baruah also addressed the gathering.
